Sump Pump Repairs You Can Trust
Schedule repairs as soon as you notice any signs of a problem. You want to avoid dealing with a sump pump malfunction during heavy rain. This includes addressing tripped circuit breakers. If your system is prone to tripping, it can activate at any time the pump cycles on. Also, consider GFCI outlets that frequently trip or are hard to reset.
Sump pumps should hum while cycling but should not excessively vibrate. If they do, it often indicates a problem with the impeller. Sump pumps should also operate quietly. You may hear a hum and the occasional clang, gurgle, or burp. Any sounds beyond that may signal a malfunction.
Also, don’t ignore sump pump error codes. Look them up in your owner’s manual right away. Often, you can easily fix a simple issue yourself. If the problem is more serious or if you can’t identify the code, call for a repair immediately.
